sensor gel: geldots

Sensor Gel (Inspire Only)

Gel dots are positioned in the heel and beneath the big toe. They have been strategically placed to absorb shock and enhance muscle behaviour during the gait cycle (Windlass effect). Through contact with the Gel Dots the muscle flexor hallucius longus is enticed to activate the foot's windless mechanism earlier. This helps to manage over-pronation and encourages optimal stride pattern. The flexor hallucius longus muscle runs under the calcaneus, causing plantar flexion and inversion of the calcaneus during the propulsion phase.

Additional Gel dots can be found in the heel cup to help reduce damaging shocks that repetitive pounding cause.
